This is all that’s left of the once iconic Dhara Dhevi complex that has fallen into disrepair caused by it’s former owner - a greedy Thai energy corporation -. It is an interesting trip out to see how beautiful it once was… The cake show was and is quite charming, has friendly staff and offers nice pastries and macarons

Lovely calm place in Victorian design. Perfect for high tea in the afternoon and famous for their macarons with a wide range of tasty flavors - also some very interesting combinations like Wasabi and White Chocolate or Black Truffle and Dark Chocolate. The small pastry and cakes are marvelous. Have a seat, relax and enjoy the excellent service. Definitely worth taking a trip to the stunning hotel resort.

Charming & Quiet Spot for a Sweet Break Stopped by Dhara Dhevi Cake Shop and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is serene and cozy — perfect for relaxing with a pot of tea. The macarons were colorful, fresh, and delicious — not overly sweet, with a good texture. Each one had its own unique flavor, and they were beautifully presented. The shop itself is tucked in a peaceful courtyard with elegant decor and outdoor seating. It’s a great place to unwind, read, or catch up with friends. Service was polite and prompt. If you’re visiting the nearby Dhara Dhevi complex or just in Chiang Mai, this spot is definitely worth a visit for a treat and some tranquility.

While the macaroons are delicious—seriously well made , if you find yourself heading to a hot spring definitely stop here. A beautiful abandoned resort, appears to have shut down since Covid but was a 60 acre super high end luxury (and I mean like; you’d have to have had some generational wealth to have stayed here) hotel built to resemble an ancient palace (we were so convinced it’s an old palace in ruins we were shocked to learn it was a hotel, imagining just the cost to create such a place in modern day) now over grown with wild greenery and slowly decaying away its sadly mostly closed to visitors. The bakery is a reason to stop, the restrooms are also very clean so a nice place to stop even for a break to stretch the legs. but you’ll find yourself drawn into nature and the abandoned hotel. While visitors aren’t allowed security is pretty lax and on a lazy afternoon one could attempt to sneak in for a peek. Would go back just to explore as what we saw obviously wasn’t even a smidge of the 60 acres laying inside in waste. All that stands now is this bakery all other stores are shut down, would go back just to explore the grounds — and grab a macaroon too Pictures don’t do it justice, just stop by if you’re passing it.

I've been looking for a long time. I just found out that they still have an old hotel location open. The taste is delicious, not too sweet and hard on the throat. There are many different flavors. The staff provide very good service. Delivery service is available both in Chiang Mai. and other provinces, recommended

Prob my fave macaron place in all of Thailand - sad to see the main Dhara Dhevi hotel close down though. Feels like the quality of the macarons went down a bit since I last visited but still good. The Thai Tea and Matcha Red Bean are my faves.

The cake shop at Dhara Dhevi truly lives up to its reputation! Their macarons are absolutely delicious, with over 20 flavors available. Unfortunately, when we visited, only 4 flavors were in stock — which was a bit disappointing because we were hoping to try more. That said, the White Truffle macaron completely stole the show! It tasted just like a warm truffle mushroom soup — incredibly unique and flavorful. Another standout was the chocolate caramel tart — the perfect balance of rich, dark chocolate bitterness and just the right amount of caramel sweetness. It was divine. The staff were very polite and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and perfect for an afternoon tea experience. The shop also offers a selection of fine teas — I tried the Pure Chamomile, and it was absolutely delightful. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to treat yourself with premium pastries, enjoy a relaxing tea time, and soak in a warm, peaceful ambiance. Highly recommended!

Friends who like macarons are welcome to visit. The price is very reasonable, the space has a lot of style, and the mango glutinous rice flavor actually contains glutinous rice, which amazed me.
